KODA WAS ADOPTED!!

I never wrote anything on the blog about Koda, but I'm sure you noticed that I have not put any pictures of him on here for many months. The reason you have only seen pictures of Cocoa is because this past July we were forced to give Koda back to the Humane Society where we got him. He was getting aggressive and bit both Dustin and me. We did everything we could to stop this aggression, including seeing two trainers, but it didn't seem to work. He was only object aggressive, which means that when he had something he knew he wasn't supposed to have, he would bite your hand off to keep it and protect it. Well, one day it went too far and we could see that our attempts to stop the aggression were not working. When we took Koda back, we told the Humane society that he had bitten both Dustin and me. They said they would put that on his cage so if anyone was interested they would have that information. If Koda showed them any aggression or if no one wanted him, he would have been put down.

Well, until today we were too chicken to ask if he was re-adopted or if he was euthanized. (Why we were at the Humane Society today is another story that I will tell later). Here is the story about Koda...

It was the day he was scheduled to be euthanized and a man went to the Humane Society, took one look at Koda, and immediately knew that was the dog he wanted. The worker informed him that he had bitten both of his owners who were male and female. He said that was fine because Koda would be in a fenced in 8 acre area with cows. HOW PERFECT!! That's just what Koda needed...room to roam. We were so glad that we asked about Koda. I know he is loving his new home! Prayers even work on animals!!
