We made the 15 hour trek to Missouri this Christmas. To prevent blood clots, as recommended by the Dr., and because of obvious pregnancy bladder issues, we stopped every 1.5 to 2 hours!! I think Dustin was wishing I would go to sleep just so we wouldn't have to stop quite so frequently. I set a record for myself and only slept 2 hours the entire way!! The weather was not too bad, but we did have frozen icicles hanging from our side mirrors much of the time we drove through Indiana. Also, during one of our many stops, I went sprinting into the gas station and slid around the corner on the sidewalk. Luckily with my cat-like reflexes I managed to stay standing, but I looked like one of those cartoon characters spinning out on the ice. It was all happening in slow motion!! Needless to say we made it safely to Missouri regardless of a little wintery weather.
We spent Christmas with my family in the booming city of Thornfield. We spent Christmas Eve opening presents and being with the family, and the rest of our time there was spent traveling to neighboring cities to shop...one of my favorite past times!! It is safe to say that our child will come into this world with clothes to wear! I think maybe God planned it that way. Now that I do not enjoy shopping for clothes for myself because I have to go to the maternity section, which is NO fun, I am now shopping for baby clothes so she has something cute to wear, which IS fun! Yeah, I'm sure God was thinking about the shopping thing when He was planning the whole pregnancy thing. HA HA!!
I don't have any Christmas pictures here with me. I don't think we even took any pictures. But, if there are some out there...DAD, send them my way and I will add them. Well, of course all but that ONE picture...you know which one I am talking about.
