Alyssa is sleeping right now (of course she is, that's the only time I blog). She has been sleeping every morning around 9am. She almost makes it an hour each time! We are making progress toward a schedule. However, she is still waking up at night. Last night it was a long night. She woke up every three hours. Many nights she sleeps for five hours and then every three hours, but last night she didn't even go five hours. I'm so confused though because she has gone for seven and nine hour stretches at night before. We go to her four month appointment next week, so I'm writing down all my questions about sleep and hopefully he can give me some advice. I'm kind of expecting him to advise us to feed her formula and rice before bed time. We will see. He may also suggest that we let her "cry it out". Hmmmmmmm. That will be a tough one!

Bow-N-Beanie
My all time favorite purchase from the bow party the other evening is by far this crocheted beanie!! I bought this pink one and a white one. I can't wait for the weather to cool down just so she can wear them. Her little bald head might get cold here during the WV winter outings. The bow is interchangeable. I can put ANY bow on it. I'm super excited about this one! Even Dustin likes it, but he is all about the beanies....or toboggan as they say here in WV.

I'll be praying for the sleep situation. I know formula and rice helped Isaac a lot. However, we've also had to "cry it out." If you get to that point, let us know. It is so tough, but it really works if you can get through it. I think it is harder on the parents than the baby! Ha!
i agree with the above poster:) we also did cry it out at about 4 months of age, but i did a "nicer" version because i am a big weanie:) i did increasingly longer time segments (let him cry 5 min., then 10, then 20...), it worked for us. at some point they need to learn to soothe themselves, and i remember owen crying for 45 minutes once and i SWEAR i was having a panic attack it was so brutal! but he is the BEST sleeper now. he occasionally has issues, but we NEVER have to go in at night unless he is sick/etc., he rocks himself back to sleep (you can hear him rocking, so cute!). also- once he started going for longer sleep times more often, like sleeping for 6 hours 2 or 3 days a week, i started to not go in when he woke up, to try to get him to just go back to sleep (and not feed him, because obviously if he can sleep through the feeding half of the week then he didn't "need" it). or i would go in and rock/comfort him but i wouldn't feed him, and eventually he didn't wake because he knew i wouldn't feed him. it was hard though. good luck! we have a new baby, Sullivan, he is one month old:) i didn't know if you knew. i read your blod periodically, i am so glad you are doing well.
I LOVE that hat!
