Site Selection at WVSOM

This evening was site selection at WVSOM. This is where we find out where we will be spending our third year of medical school for rotations. Lewisburg does not have the medical opportunities to host 200+ students.....it only holds about six students, which is why they have to put us in various communities around the state. The buzz around the event was intense, but I didn't actually get anxious until we arrived and reality set in. I knew what was supposed to happen would, but a little anxiety snuck up on me tonight!!

So, I completely left the decision of where to go up to Dustin since we are here for his medical school and we need to make the best decisions concerning that. He chose to write his name to go to Huntington, WV. Unfortunately Huntington went beyond capacity so our names would all be drawn out of a bowl. There are 15 spots in Huntington and our name had not been called by the time the 13th person had been called. That's when my anxiety began to rise. Luckily, we were the 14th name drawn for Huntington! So, in June we will be moving to Huntington, WV....that's right, when baby is a little more than one month old!! We are welcoming all free moving helpers! HA HA!!

Well, we can take a huge sign of relief now that tonight is over!!

On another note, it is snowing again here in Lewisburg. Another day off of school would be nice...we will have to see!

Wow! That is awesome! As for helping, I think I will take the baby until you are all settled in. See what a great helper I am. :)
