We Have Moved

We are excited to finally be in the new house (for one year until we have to pack back up for him to do his medical rotations around WV). We are shooting for one move each year...ha ha. So far we have succeeded.

The extra storage space in this house is great for all of the equipment that is required for our various hobbies, and of course my clothes. The additional living space is also much cleaner, updated, and open. We feel at home already!! The dogs LOVE it!! They have only had hardwood floors, and wow do they love carpet!!

Another perk of this house is that we have a garage. I will be so excited not have to scrape inches of snow off the windshield in the morning or have to defrost. I forgot what that was like since I haven't parked in a garage since I lived with you, mom and dad.

Our yard is definitely bigger than the old one, so the mowing will take most of the day with me doing the push mowing. HA HA Haven't had a riding mower since I lived with you, mom and dad. HA HA. (Are you catching the pattern here? I have definitely economically downgraded. I like to call it, "Getting poor life experience". That does well for the humbling factor.)

The yard may be bigger, but at least we will not have any more heards of sheep running through our yard and porch leaving us "special treats" all over.

Sometime this week I will post some pictures of the house. I will be sure to include the "straight from the 70s" bright orange countertops! They are quite a sight to see!! In the same picture you will see a 2008 stainless steel refrigerator. Oh well, that is called "house character" that I can live with!!

Congrats on the new cozy home! I know it is a relief, but goodness I loved reading the stories of coming home to sheep on your porch. I hope this new house brings new waves of entertainment for your friends and family. :)
